
In June 1993, Champaka published a beautiful screen-print, “Vacances fatales”, by Vittorio Giardino, creator of “Sam Pezzo” and “Max Fridman.” It featured a young woman in an idyllic setting, one that was enticing and carefree. The woman was seated at a small wooden table, on a terrace. On the table were some grapes and a glass of wine. Behind her, one could see an outdoor shower, some cactus plants and a spectacular view of the Mediterranean seascape, dotted with small islands. Ten years further on, we meet again the same beautiful reader, this time in “Nuit d’été.” By some strange miracle, she is untouched by the passage of time…
