"Floc'h illustrateur 1"

The book

Alongside his work in bande dessinée, Floc’h pursued a distinguished career as an illustrator. His work was highly prized in the publishing world, in newspapers and magazines, in film and in advertising. The material that has been chosen for inclusion in “Floc’h Illustrateur 1 is the artist’s selection from his wide-ranging work. Most of the illustrations were originally produced in colour, but a black-and-white version has been preferred for this collection. The reward for this emphasis on line and composition is a rich collection (over 120 examples) of the artist’s work. The very best illustrations from “Life and “High Life” can be found here, and “Les quatre saisons” takes on a new allure. Ten illustrations created for a jewellery catalogue adorn these pages. Apart from very rare exceptions, all the drawings are shown in their entirety. As a four-page coda to this lavish volume, a table of illustrations reproduces each illustration in a much-reduced format and details its origins.
