This superb image is taken from “Ruée sur l’Oklahoma”, a story with a scenario by René Goscinny that appeared in the handsome Journal de Spirou from May to October of 1958. André Franquin, the ultimate warrior of BD art, was an admirer of the simple style adopted by his friend Morris. He recognized that such truthful simplicity is one of the most difficult things to achieve.
