Alerte aux Pieds Bleus

Alerte aux Pieds Bleus

“Spirou” pre-published “Alerte aux Pieds Bleus” from April to August of 1956. René Goscinny had rejoined his friend Morris, whom he had met in New York during a stay there that had lasted for several years. When the “Cahiers de la bande dessinée” questioned him, in 1980, about his sketches, Morris divulged one of the secrets that explained the vivacity of his art. “I should push them a bit further, but the inking stage would be quite tedious! I would have to work like a machine and my pleasure would be lessened as a result. In general, I keep my sketches quite vague, which allows greater scope for flexibility when it comes to the final stages of the work.”
