Walter Minus is a great lover of women, of woman, of cute, angelic dolls, and of those red-lipped, curvaceous and perfectly formed “pin ups.” A bande dessinée artist, he depicts his favourite subjects from the front, in profile, in black lace, semi-naked, without speech bubbles but accompanied by captions, since they are, in a sense, already offered, although seeming hard to please. The line is precise; the dark outline is subtle and restrained. The whole seems poised at the crossroads of Ligne Claire and Pop Art.
