Galeries Anspach

“Les Galeries Anspach” is a wonderful drawing by Yves Chaland. It is wonderful for many reasons: because it features Spirou and Fantasio, because it is not taken from previously published strips that appeared in the early eighties in “Spirou” (published by Champaka under the title “Cœurs d’acier”) and because it features our two heroes in a Brussels setting. Here, the fleeting glimpse of a well-turned leg is an invitation to follow suit and browse in the Galeries Anspach. The format pays homage to the style of Yves Chaland and to the use of colour (a pleasing alternance of full tones and textures) of Isabelle Beaumenay.
