The series “Les aventures de Stéphane” is in a class of its own, and Daniel Ceppi’s description of it rings true. “Much of what is found in these adventures is autobiographical” he says, “even if I myself never had problems with the law. I made a choice to head off, in the 1970s, at a time when 200 francs would get you a seat on a bus that would take about a year to go from Geneva to Delhi, in small stages.” Ceppi splits his life in two: his travels and his work. “I’m just a grain of sand” he says. “It’s the travelling, the thousands of miles I’ve put behind me, the thousands of people I’ve met by chance along the way, that have taught me everything.”
