L'ombre d'un film

The sixth instalment of “Pin Up” was due for release in June 2007, and Champaka launched the charm offensive with its publication of “L’ombre d’un film”, a hitherto unpublished drawing by Philippe Berthet. The resulting dusk-tinged rendezvous is a wonderful orchestration of references – cinema (Howard Hughes), the american dream machine (the Chevrolet Bel-Air) and everyone’s dream girl (Dotty). It’s a further confirmation of Berthet’s status as a prince of illustration in the “thriller” genre.

Authors
