L'affaire Blake

The year is 1996, and Ted Benoit, one of the pillars of the “nouvelle ligne claire” or “new clear line” style championed by Champaka (Chaland, Floc’h, Serge Clerc…) has met with great success in his revival of the Blake and Mortimer saga. Champaka felt compelled to mark the occasion. In August of 1996, as a preview, Champaka published a portfolio that reissued the twelve best frames from “L’affaire Francis Blake.” This fine portfolio is composed of twelve beautifully finished screen-prints placed in a folder that bears the image of a hitherto unpublished drawing.
