The Marsupilami hails from Palombia, a country drawn from Franquin’s imagination as a setting for “Spirou et les héritiers”, the first album to introduce the great Palombian diva. Batem, Franquin’s chosen successor, has taken pleasure in creating a hitherto-unpublished image that brings to light an aspect of Palombia’s history : the Zygomaztecs, close relations of the Aztecs.
